Labour Governments aren’t about self-service, they’re about public service — and this PM embodies public service.

Thats why he’s got a 5-year mandate and my full support. Let’s get on with the job.

We're making the UK the hardest possible target for foreign interference.

Last week, I led briefings with MI5 and key sectors to help them identify the threat.

This week, we're launching a new tool to help universities report cases to security experts.

Terribly sad to hear of the death of Lance Corporal George Hooley of The Parachute Regiment who has died following a tragic accident in Ukraine.

My thoughts are with his family, friends and unit.

We will remember his outstanding service to our country.

RIP.

Corruption threatens our national security, undermines legitimate business and steals money from working people’s pockets.

By deploying specialist law enforcement capabilities, we will disrupt the serious organised criminals, terrorists and kleptocrats.

When good people choose not to stand for public office, out of fear of harassment and intimidation, our democracy is weakened.

Peaceful protest is a cherished right, but targeting people’s homes and families crosses a line.

We’re putting a stop to it.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dickie Bird.

A cricketing legend, Dickie’s warmth, humour, and generosity made him a national treasure — but he never forgot where he came from.

Barnsley has lost a true giant.

My condolences to his loved ones.
