Happy Black History Month! Here is my favorite story about a Black American you may not know about: Robert Smalls. He commandeered a confederate ship and sailed himself, his family, and the other enslaved crew and their families to freedom. THROUGH waters controlled by the Confederacy.

Actually have a few. We have seen each other kids born and grow up, celebrated graduation, weddings, mourned together, been accountability partners etc just out here living life together virtually 🤣😂

Black joy is a lighthouse in the darkest waters. No matter the storm, it calls us home, reminds us who we are, and lights the way for those behind us. Keep shining.
