First #halfmarathon in the books! Was more fun than I thought. The #running community is the best. Spectators were surprisingly motivating! Especially the power up posters.

This book should be required reading, it’s about how women are ignored when it comes to many aspects of society. By the end I was exhausted but everything was so important. I liked how it is read by the author. Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez #booksky

First big #run in a long time with no ice and snow! One of my longest runs at 12km not including races starting to get ready for my first #halfmarathon. Super pumped! Also thank you BlueSky #running community for shoe recommendations. These @saucony.bsky.social shoes are a game changer.

I like this #Stunday trend on BlueSky! Still happy to see everyone using this platform for positivity so far.

Mine is through the old window of Dunluce Castle in #Ireland looking at the cliff across from it. A view that someone hundred of years ago would have woken. Up too!

#Trump managed to galvanize Canada at a time when we have been very divided and now with his horrendous treatment of #Zelensky he is going to do the same thing for the rest of the world. I think he is underestimated how pissed of he is collectively making people.

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II.

Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

Watching this terrible video of #Zelensky having to deal with that barbarian #Trump reminded me of the story from Alfred in the Dark Knight.

Running on ice? Ottawa's Rideau Canal Skateway adds new twist | CBC News
For decades, the Rideau Canal Skateway has been Ottawa’s go-to spot for winter skating, but this year the ice is attracting a new crowd — runners pounding the frozen surface.

The worst part about BlueSky #running and #runners is seeing all of the amazing places people are running all over the world that aren’t snow covered trails right not. Bah! What I would do to be running in shorts and a t-shirt these days. Won’t complain about the snowshoeing through the woods though

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
The average person with the flu gives it to around 1.4 people. The average person with measles gives it to between 12 and 18 people.

More than 10 million people globally were infected with measles in 2023, a 20% increase from the previous year.
