Breaking: Von der Leyen 2.0 Commission approved by a split EU Parliament with thin majority of 370 votes.
By cobbling together such a thin majority, the governability of the EU will remain limited and made dependent on the whim of the national leaders of the moment.

Vote for new EC shows “centre is holding” insists von der Leyen. Yes the Orbánist and AfD wrecking crews didn't vote in favour. But this "centre" has important support from Italian post-fascists among others and it's tilted right and radical right. H/t @oleryborg.bsky.social @alemanno.bsky.social
