So can somebody explain how the imposition of tariffs by the US will fill the Treasury coffers with additional revenue by virtue of inelastic consumer demand, funding tax cuts, but at the same time drive imports out of the market because the US consumer can do without them? Not sure how this works!

Recently and briefly met Sir Chay Blyth on a recent sailing holiday in Turkey where he and his crew were taking over from us on the Anam Cara. A legend from my youth!
