Blame the refs all we want, but Avs not good enough tonight. Only 7 HD chances out of all those SOGs. Hopefully this is short lived slump for them and they’re fully healthy after the Olympics

This and the fact that US education ignores how the Third Reich made a gradual walk towards the final solution. The impression too many students get is that Hitler sprung up overnight out of nowhere and just started murdering ppl
Our view of fascism in the US today is skewed by the fact that we view Hitler as the prototypical fascist, despite the fact that he was in many respects atypical. We would have better conversations if we viewed Franco, Ion Antonescu, or Ferenc Szálasi as the comparisons for fascist movements today.

Avs didn’t play very well vs TB, but managed to hang in there with xGF and xGA despite being hemmed in so much. A league average power lay might have gotten them a point or two out of this poor showing

@scoutingtherefs.bsky.social Rules question for you. If a team scores on a delayed penalty and the refs then review the call for whatever reason-friendly fire on high stick or illegal check to the head for example- and rescind the call altogether, does the goal on the delay still count?

It’s so normal for us to watch an amazingly ineffective power play that we barely blink an eye after the awfulness we just watched vs LA. There shouldn’t be any Jack Adams talk for Bednar if the PP stays like this for the remainder of the season
