My beautiful, funny, self-possessed Mom has died. She was the last of her generation at 92 and a small powerhouse up until earlier this year still walking around the neighborhood daily. She “died in her sleep” as they say. We were hoping to see her one last time at Christmas, but instead… (1/3)

Wow. Just had to block a Bluesky account that liked one of my posts because both the profile picture and cover image were Nazi flags.

Day 2 of InnerSource Summit 2024 (virtual). We had a record crowd yesterday! We’re planning an in-person Summit in 2025 and are accepting proposals from host organizations. Hosting a summit is a great way to boost your in-house InnerSource program.

It’s been awhile since I “road-warriored” but once a frequent traveler, always…my 7:50am flight out of Shannon to LHR was seriously delayed and I was going to miss an appointment in California. Helpful minions guided all affected travelers to a long queue to rebook…1/3

Why is air travel becoming so bad? I used to love @Southwest Airlines but today they showed their true colors. They are not friends to musicians. And I only have a tiny practice Mando along. I feel really badly for the musician next to me who is afraid her viola won’t make the flight. Gah!

This! Twitter was amazing for a long time. Let’s no forget that it was archived in the library of Congress for a few years there.
There is definite mass #Twitter mourning. It's not full of hot-takes and pithy-for-likes comments. It's genuine sadness for the passing of the zeitgeist of novel human connection. Our worlds became bigger for a moment. And then they shrunk. It will remain a promise unfulfilled.
