At 5.15pm GMT today, the Earth will be at perihelion, the closest point to the Sun in our annual round.

This should be the start of the year. Happy new orbit, everyone!

I’m not suggesting that, just that including trains that don’t stop when reporting usage percentages for Ebbsfleet and Ashford doesn’t give the full story.

Of course, numbers would have been naturally lower at Ebbsfleet, and particularly Ashford, because only some trains stopped (only a few day at Ashford). If all trains stopped at Ebbsfleet, you'd expect higher numbers due to the park-and-ride convenience over St. Pancras for some people.

Well obviously not all of us voted to leave. It's frustrating to have the infrastructure but not be able to use it any more. Traveling to St Pancras doubles the cost. Fair enough on the numbers, I knew Ashford was low but I'd thought Ebbsfleet was higher as it always seemed busy when I used it.

There would be less congestion at St Pancras if people could get on in Kent again. When we were putting up with years of disruption to build the rail link, we were expecting to get more out of it than the opportunity to watch Londoners speed by without stopping.

🤔 The Red Roses have been the most dominant team in world sport for the last 6 or 7 years, are world champions, and are on an all-time record unbeaten run for men's or women's teams. The golf lads narrowly won a two-horse race.

It's a repeat offence. It's the final three penalty points that took her to 12, so she's either been caught four times (or five as the first time they usually let you off with a speed awareness course), or previously been penalised for other things such as using a phone while driving.
