I have to admit I followed you a decade ago because my favorite college professor, @rjgranieri.bsky.social , suggested it. I am grateful for both of your minds and presence in times like these.

The number of badly missed calls on the last two Panthers’ series is unacceptable.

The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

I grew up on Ernie Johnson (Jr. and Sr.), Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren, Don Sutton, and Joe Simpson. I am convinced part of my love of baseball was having great announcers, even when there was a bad product on the field.

Franklin Graham committed blasphemy at the first inauguration when he said the rain was God’s blessing, conveniently forgetting Jesus said the sun shines on the righteous and the unrighteous, and the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Space City's one hour up the road from me
One hour away from as close to the moon as anybody down here is ever gonna be
And somewhere beyond that big white light is where my heart is gone
And somewhere she's wondering what's taking me so long

That is painting with an awfully broad brush. The case for whom? How can you generalize "religious" so broadly? Does Bill Maher's sneering atheism speak for all non-believers, or is there a whole lot more nuance?

I did not say that they did, but many people find or develop their morality through religion, and we should welcome that. John Wesley wrote "there is no holiness but social holiness." And James wrote that "faith without works is dead." That has led to a lot of good works and social progress.

Thank you. As a progressive Christian, it is very frustrating to hear the way religion is discussed in many circles. Love your neighbor and help the poor and oppressed is a pretty good place to start, and we learn that in churches.

Forbes: The Qataris have been trying to get rid of that ostentatious luxury jet for five years, but no one would buy it. It costs too much to fly, costs more to maintain, and needs too big a landing strip. They had another one they unloaded on Turkey.

It takes little more than a rudimentary knowledge of American history to know how ridiculous the contention that Hedley Lamarr's band of marauders is even a good Cabinet. Not one of the hucksters would have gotten into a room with the Cabinets of Washington, Lincoln or even Harry Truman.
Elon Musk at Trump's first Cabinet meeting: "I think this is the best Cabinet ever. Literally. So, uh, and I do not give false praise... I think it‘s literally the best Cabinet that the country has ever had."
