I really hope that this place doesn’t become a “response” to the status quo (eg twitter) and instead becomes something better.
I’m already seeing silly arguments, stupid fake accounts, and people being hostile to others, which is no different than what happens on other networks. @jay.bsky.team

Doesn’t take long for nastiness to have appeared here. Several instances of “you don’t belong here,” which is not a good thing for a public social network imo.

While this is not 100% factually true, it happens a lot more than you realize.
One random example is a man named Ray Bloom. He started the largest corporate travel show, EIBTM. He sold it to Reed Travel and then started IMEX when his noncompete ended. Today, IMEX is the largest travel show.
