Ahh the last day of #DVParty!

For my next project I'm hoping to do another contemporary romance, this one about a curvy dance fitness instructor and her rival, a personal trainer. Neither thinks the other takes them seriously, until they're forced to work together and confront their assumptions.

Jules is a new teacher joining the profession as a second career, and boy does she have imposter syndrome about it 🤣 This book is close to my heart because I did the same in my 30s, and while I’m not in the classroom right now, it’s been fun to revisit that world!

Literary agents, I beg you: don’t advise writers that they need to pay $$$$ to make it in traditional publishing. A dev edit is valuable for self pub, but should not be a barrier of entry for a querying writer who may not have the means. CP/beta feedback (which is free) can go a long way!

Just saw a PROFESSIONAL(?) LITERARY AGENCY post a graphic that said "agents aren't ghosting you, your pages just stopped doing their job" in their socials.

Huuuge red flag to imply that lack of response means lack of quality when a lot of the time it more likely means lack of bandwidth.
