The messed up thing is misstep with Forked Tower aside, this probably has been the singular best year of XIV updates in a long time, and most of the people loudly complaining are transparently transphobic.
FF14 being nominated for best ongoing in a year when I have seen its players do very little but constantly complain about a quality dip, with devs even copping to it, while Street Fighter 6 on a total tear not even getting a nod is making my head spin
