The real “Dakota Incident” will be when @dc.com hires me to write a single issue and it leads to a longstanding creative relationship. I doubt that would get its own History of the DC Universe one shot, though.

But it’s become apparent in the last decade or so that villains get to oppress because they convince the people that they enjoy being oppressed.

Leslie Jordan (R.I.P.) spoke at the graduation of my theatre conservatory class and made me touch his Emmy. The award had broken in half after years of making people touch it.
(He was genuinely as sweet and funny as he appeared to be on tv and in interviews.)
