Welcome one and all to NYE 2025. The champagne is in the fridge, the BBC is reporting on the firework displays across Australia and Asia which means it must be time for my year review! I hope you get the subtle nod in the title to the fact we are now over halfway through the decade. I remember so vividly writing my 2019 wrap up and thinking ahead to the decade of the 20s.

As part of some wild fever dream at the start of the year, I started a new blog. I have since deleted said blog, because in all honesty, I don't need a new blog. Plus having two blogs is way to much admin for someone who struggles with, well admin. Anyway, the point being, one of the first things I posted about on that blog was taking a break from social media.

Please note, this post was originally published on my second blog around March time this year. I have since deleted aforementioned blog but want the content to live on so I am republishing this post here. Starting a new blog was an ADHD-fueled fever dream. This is a passion project that has lingered in the back of my mind for so long.

When you think of ADHD, one of the first things that probably comes to mind is focus or, more accurately, the lack there of. Whilst ADHD encompasses a wide range of symptoms that impact executive function, the elements I struggle with the most tend to center around focus. I am struggle to start tasks, when I do I get easily distracted and then find it difficult to get back into something.
