Corollary to this is that if somebody tries to apologize to you for “how you feel”, they are being insincere and you should expect very little from your interactions with them.
It’s not an apology if you aren’t willing to admit you did something wrong

“Minced oath” goes hard
I know why! I looked it up recently!
It turns out that "sacre bleu" is what linguists call a minced oath—a cutesy rephrasing of a swear to make it suitable for mixed company, like "Oh, fudge!"
"Sacre bleu" is the "gosh darnit" version of "Sacre Dieu!"—Holy God. Which is why nobody says it anymore.

Describing LLMs as “basically SQL” is pretty silly. By analogous logic, you could say A* is “basically SQL” since it’s “just retrieving” a sequence of edges. Nobody actually would describe it as such because that’s ridiculous, but people make precisely this mistake with LLMs.

Wonder if Elon’s foray into politics will echo Moses’ 1934 gubernatorial campaign. The two bear interesting resemblances in general, for instance in temperament and mutual preference for automobiles over mass transit.
