Yes, we're offering guaranteed financial returns
As the stock market struggles to get even more overvalued and the government decides it’s a great idea to buy in at the top, it’s time, once again, for the financial geniuses at Dad Writes to...

Has anyone in the media published any kind of estimate for crowd size at the Trump parade? Lots of stories saying it was below 200k or sparse, or whatever, but I cannot find an actual crowd size estimate like we ALWAYS see. WTF is going on?

More Father's Day musings: Why is it Father’s Day and not Dad’s Day? I don’t know anyone who walks in the door and yells, “Father, I’m home.” “Dad” is so much friendlier and warm, although I’d stop there. “Daddy” would just seem to cross a line or two. Or three.

Father's Day puzzle: What to buy a WFH dad? No ties, and he already has a “#1 Dad” coffee cup…I see why people pass along gift cards like last year’s fruitcake. WFH is great, though. No fights on the day after FD when two guys show up with identical “World’s Best Dad” coffee cups.

Another Father's Day question: Does anyone hire a physical trainer to help them get a dad bod? Can a dad bod ever be a turn-on, even if it’s only to women who are tired of grandfather bods?

Asking for a friend.

If dad spends Sunday morning playing golf and then he takes a nap while mom makes dinner, how will he know it’s Father’s Day?

This will not end well, and my right-wing Jewish friends will be the most surprised by the obvious.

We can't remember their sacrifice

Eggs just have more rizz than potatoes, I guess...
Exactly who came up with that idea?
The real innovators, my favorite barfly, and the hidden sex appeal of eggs are all haunting me this week. They can be haunting you, too, if you read on… O’ PIONEERS! Every so often, I wonder...

When everything is a crisis, nothing is a crisis, and that's the goal for the people creating the real chaos.
Wake me when it's a crisis crisis
I’m cleaning out some old emails and there’s a note from a guy about getting out of New Orleans the day before the terrorist attack. Huh? Oh, yeah, there was a terrorist attack—some guy ramming...

Happy Mothers Day, known in literary circles as the Day of Confused Apostrophes. Is it for all mothers, so it's Mothers’ Day, or for individual mothers, as in Mother’s Day? It it's only for happy mothers, it's Happy-Mothers Day? Or maybe nobody owns it, so it's just Mothers Day. I'm so confused.

"Roughly one-fifth of Internal Revenue Service staff — some 20,000 workers — are taking the buyout, a significant increase from the 4,700 employees who opted in for the first round."
Federal Workers Jump at Buyout Offers They Once Shunned
(Bloomberg) -- Federal workers who scoffed when they first received Elon Musk’s infamous “Fork in the Road” buyout initiative are taking different tack now that there is a second offer on the table: s...

Washington is closer than people think. Post Offices, Social Security offices and VA hospitals close, cancer screening and after-school programs end, and suddenly we appreciate the pork-barrel projects we all love to hate. We’re all getting a lesson in civics, the hard way.

We expect tons of bravery from other people as Trump rains vengeance on his enemies. Whether it’s Columbia or Paul Weiss or the bureaucrat who gets doxed by DOGE, we expect them to fight to the death. The rest of us gave in and we’re bagging our own groceries, but Trump targets must be superheroes.

Please stop saying we did this to ourselves. WE didn't do this. Trump did this. And while millions voted for him, he received less than half the total votes cast.
