I know capitalism subsumes its critiques and all that, but I kinda wanna try this.
On sale at Target. I wonder if there is larger cultural and societal resentment related to American oligarchy beyond the debate around Luigi Mangione, you know?

She says she doesn't own a gun, and has no criminal record. The charge is vastly out of proportion with making these comments on the phone, and reflect the current fear the ruling class has more than anything else.

Why do I keep seeing this “immigrants are slave labor” argument from conservatives? If that’s the case, then we should raise the minimum wage and the standard of living, right? Oh wait, they just want to deport them. Maybe it was never about helping them then…

The idea that "incumbents everywhere are losing" is just ... not true. It's not just Mexico: in Taiwan, Greece, Croatia, and others, incumbents were re-elected or increased their vote share.

Pushing the idea that it was inevitable only serves to shield the party and campaign from justifiable blame.
It's become accepted as common knowledge that Harris and Democrats were doomed to lose as part of a global, inflation-induced backlash against incumbents.

Our @jeffhauser.bsky.social and @kjboyle.bsky.social looked at global elections in 2023 and 2024 to show that's not really true.
Inflation Did Not Make A Democratic Loss Inevitable | Revolving Door Project

This is like the one good piece of news we’ve gotten lately. lol
Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

Cannot describe how sick I am of hearing that somehow Dems lost the election because they were too far left. I swear, some people just don’t live in reality. Having milquetoast policies and the pandering to Republicans was literally all the Harris campaign did.

We need more leftist content creators out there who provide a counter message to right-wing conceptions of masculinity.

I think this is a void that leftists need to come together to fill. We need to reach young men looking for answers.

The tactical retreat to a slightly less dystopian place on the internet has begun.
