Unfortunately I don't think we can be rid of that any time soon. Our best bet would probably be using a bike or public transport when possible, which only reduces it. If your lucky though, walking might sometimes be an option, but let's face it, a lot of cities aren't designed with that in mind.

You can use them for playgrounds, both for swings and the ground up rubber that makes the safety mats. Also I believe the military reuses theirs for boot camps. Though we probably still need to keep looking for more potential uses.

You still need elected officials who can draft the laws. There is also the issue of election frequency, too much and voters will get fatigued and not turn up. I would argue that the best option is for a system to accommodate both representatives and direct democracy.

I would argue we need proportional representation, which is far more resistant to gerrymandering than our current system.

Proportional representation is better with ranked choice voting - FairVote
Ranked choice voting improves proportional representation by balancing representation with effective governing.

Problem is, taking it WILL start a war that will only end up costing more money than that oil is worth. Not to mention the human cost. How many American lives do you think is justified to throw away for it?

The Fair Representation Act – which enacts #RankedChoiceVoting w/ multi-member districts – is the solution.”

A Lasting Solution to the Gerrymandering War
Perhaps the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee knew what was coming. As an early proponent of a federal bill banning mid-decade gerrymandering, she now appears to have been ahead of her time. Indeed,…

It's AI, getting goggles to seal right on a dog would be almost impossible, much less getting a mouth piece to work in a way that wouldn't risk them inhaling water.

Not all data centers host AI, many host things like email, websites, cloud storage, etc. Without them, there would be no internet, and it would disrupt a lot of phone/TV infrastructure as well since we've upgraded so much of our old analog systems. You'd be stuck with nothing but radio.
