Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! ❤️📚

Fun fact: on this day Dec. 27th, 1982 @TIME magazine named the personal computer “Machine of the year”

a special shoutout to everyone who "works with computers" and therefore is required to fix the electronics of their entire extended family over the holidays

Don’t believe all the AI hype, yes there’s truth in some but the technology has limit capacities. I recommend this book so you can know the difference

Here’s my holiday reading list: 🎅 🎄

1. LLM’s Engineer’s Handbook by Paul Iusztin and Maxime Labonne

2. AI Snake Oil: What Artificial Intelligence Can Do, What It Can’t, and How to Tell the Difference

3. Co-Intelligence: Living and Working with AI by Ehan Mollick

As we see LLM’s starting to gain more knowledge and become smarter, we must remember we tend to project our own human attributes onto the things we build, while diminishing ourselves in the process. We must see AI as a tool and not as a colleague.

Even though I work in AI and interact with systems on a daily basis, when I read research papers or books, there’s nothing that beats holding the paper in my hands 😊

If you have not read it, check out @AnthropicAI post on how to build agents. 2025 going to start strong

Python continues to be the leading programming language.

Now with the release of Genesis, the open source physics engine, python can now possibly become the robotics language of the future 💫 1/3

My thoughts on the new o3 model:

We are approaching a realm none of us have seen before, not even those of us working/building these models.

The language we use to describe LLMs, and the current AI ecosystem matters. The machine is not a living, breathing organism. Attributing human aspects to output data is taking us to a slippery slope of undermining ourselves.

AI is not human. It is a tool.

If AI is replacing developers, why are tech interviews still not allowing LLM’s to be used for coding assistance? 🤔 could be CS knowledge is still the gold standard?

Prediction: things not made with AI will grow in value
December 24, 2024 at 11:16 PM
AI should work to enhance our human intelligence not replace it (it can’t)

Ever trained an algorithm all the way through only to realize your data engineering was completely amiss 48 hours before presenting the results? Yea me neither
