I never realized how stacked this month was - she was in the middle of album promotion, with a simultaneous CO roll out - just to find out (in the final moments) that her own family and (ex?) partner betrayed her which led to her biggest personal/professional loss (her masters)

Surviving long term CSA/trafficking has been THE curse of my life and believe it or not it’s not even mostly because of the abuse. It’s because of the way our society tortures survivors for the rest of their lives solely because they survived torture. Thats it. We are hated for surviving.

People that aren’t familiar with survivor privacy dont know how dangerous this is in general - let alone in such a highly politicized case. Survivors name and identity are protected for SAFETY. Because perps can and DO seek them out. This is actually life ruining in a way Gen pop doesn’t understand
