I was watching the serviceable thriller Phone Booth (directed by Joel Schumacher! and written by Larry Cohen!) when, at a very intense moment in the film, the fire alarm went off in the theater. For a split second, I thought it was part of the movie like I was in some sort of immersive experience
I would like to hear if you have ever had one (1) transformational experience in a movie theater. Don't care if it's high art or low, somber or funny, poetic or banal - I just want to hear about that one time at the movies that changed you at the atomic level.

Just finished reading this narrative account of the true story of a slaying in 1930’s Pennsylvania coal region of a woman accused of witchcraft. My great grandfather was the district attorney investigating and attempting to prosecute!
