Replaying Cyberpunk 2077 and I’m fascinated by how receiving quests via text destroys the immersion of meeting characters in the context of the world itself. Sidequests in this game feel so impersonal compared to The Witcher. A ping and a dossier does nothing to invest me in the story of a gig.

Replaying Cyberpunk 2077 and I’m fascinated by how receiving quests via text destroys the immersion of meeting characters in the context of the world itself. Sidequests in this game feel so impersonal compared to The Witcher. A ping and a dossier does nothing to invest me in the story of a gig.

I appreciate that @lastweektonight.com had the temerity to address the Kimmel situation directly and not couch their response in a level of satire that, while clever, also serves as cover. The "Dear Leader" approach adopted elsewhere feels tepid where Oliver's "Fuck You, Make Me" is what's required.
