I listened to an audiobook version of this, and it was really good. It’s a great story that combines horror fantasy elements of detective fiction in a really cool way.

Definitely grab this book if you can.

Legit got to look up from sipping my beer after someone in the bar asked a question tonight and say “I’m a union man” … it was awesome as hell.

“Sinéad O'Connor’s ‘Troy’ is actually a heavy metal song.”

“Elaborate on that.”

“No.”

The more I watch Fallout season two, the more I realize casting Kyle MacLachlan as a villain was such a great choice.

I love how affably evil he is. Cheerfully psychopathic. It’s chilling. That guy just kills every role he’s in.

My story “The Rot Eater” is now available in the latest issue of Crimson Quill Quarterly.

The story is a mash up of dark fantasy, fungal horror, and coming of age.

Link to snag a copy is in the comments.

Got a nice bundle of books with my stories in them in the mail today.

It still blows my mind to see stuff I write in print.

The local writer’s group I’m in asked me to do a presentation at their next meeting.

Thinking about doing something on the things I learned as a journalist that helped me as a fiction writer. Does that sound interesting enough?

Just got my first hike at a national park under my belt.

Pinnacles National Park is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been. I was truly humbled and in awe that a place could be that beautiful.

Can’t wait to go back and try more trails.

Helped my folks clean out my late grandparent’s house last weekend and was able to take home my grandfather’s typewriter.

He never owned a computer or cell phone, and typed most of his correspondence on this right up until he passed away in 2018.

This this still works like it’s brand new.

2. Rusted Root
3. The Lumineers

I don't car what HR says, "Shook Ones started playing on the radio as I was about to leave home" is a perfectly valid reason to be late to work.

I am a little over 60 pages into Poppy Z. Brite’s Wormwood and am having trouble putting it down.

The stories, so far, are horrific and beautifully written.

My favorite stories so far have been “Angles” and “His Mouth will Taste of Wormwood”.
