Man it was such an insane year for survival horror. Silent hill f, heartworm, flesh made fear, Tomented souls 2, total chaos, Cronos and these are just the ones that are full releases. there was even more early access games launching too

My game of the year list is currently at 31 games not including honorable mentions I didn’t have enough time to play beyond a few hours. Too many games this year not enough time but I did try to fit in as much weird and lesser known shit as I could that interested me

In an alternate timeline Highguard would have start with fantasy man getting into a big bone mech and world peace would have been achieved right there. Imagine if they just loaded themselves into something like this and it wasn't apex legends fantasy

I don't play as many shmups as a should but one of the games I tried for my GOTY list was a shmup called BIRDCAGE and i am having a lot of fun with it even if i am godawful at the game even on normal. Extremely stylish with amazing visuals featuring metal gear inspirations

Debating what to do for segments of my GOTY video that are games i already covered. Since most videos flopped this year I could just stitch those reviews into the video and call it a day but that both feels kinda lazy and people who have seen them will be bored

God i have become so bored of the souls formula. I think elden ring well and truly squeezed every last drop of enjoyment i can get out of it. Its a shame because there are so many cool ones that keep coming out and i just keep wishing it didn't have a lot of the genre hallmarks

On my quest to fit in all my 2025 GOTY considerations one of the highlights of yesterdays batch of games was Captain Wayne. Its got the game speed of Blood and the personality of Duke Nukem with the comedic timing of newgrounds animations with a really vibrant color pallet

RGG has really speed run going from one of the best and most exciting studios to hear from to the one that just makes me groan every time I see they do something new.

I like that the evolution to death stranding’s gameplay with 2 is the introduction of natural disasters like floods and earthquakes. Still only in Chapter 1so who knows what else they add but so far loving the new additions and the new areas to explore

I feel bad because i am trying to fit in every game i can for my GOTY video. But there is simply too many games and they are so long. I want to give everyone their fair shake and time to shine if i like them but fuck is it impossible to fit them all in
