This is devastating news.

In his first major decision, Environment Minister Murray Watt has extended the life of Australia's largest oil & gas project until 2070.

Tuvalu's Climate Minister Maina Talia said the extension "would threaten our survival".

Labor, Liberal and Nationals: all of these parties have no intention to stop coal and gas approvals despite our climate emergency. This election is an opportunity to vote for a party that takes the future of our young people seriously . #nonewcoal #nonewcoalandgas

The Labor govt has approved 34 coal and gas projects in their current term. This current election is an opportunity to vote in a hung parliament where smaller parties have a say in climate issues.

Anger towards the Nationals party seems to be growing in Mount Alexander community. Looks like their nuclear platform will not be winning them any votes, as everyone knowns that nuclear is too costly, too dangerous and too late. #nonuclear

Donations from the fossil fuel industry to the Labor party is perhaps why Labor are approving new coal and gas. We need a royal commission into fossil fuel ‘donations’ to political parties!

Voters can choose Greens who receive no fossil fuel donations.

Central Victorians and Castlemaine residents Bernie, Vera and Terry are some of the 130 people charged for blocking the world’s largest coal port last year. The harsh anti-protest laws are over the top and need to be challenged. Support our local activists:

A silent vigil yesterday marked the 14th anniversary of Japan’s Fukushima Nuclear Power reactor meltdown.
The disastrous legacy of this catastrophe should remind our community of the possible consequences of adopting any proposal for risky, expensive and too late nuclear power in our country

This morning we paper chained up Jacinta Allan’s office - her proposal to criminalise protest by banning chains, padlocks, glue and masks is an attempt to silence our democratic right to dissent.. but we will not be silenced!

“Democracy dies when protest is criminalised!”

This is the important message that we delivered to Vic Premier Jacinta Allan this morning, together with @xrvic.bsky.social and @averymbd.bsky.social

Is it any wonder dirty and expensive options like #gas are still being pushed by Labor and the Coalition?
