powerscaling is so weird to me, I've seen people criticise works not based on writing, or character arcs, or acting, or any of that but instead just how powerful the characters are and... huh???

ok genuinely, can someone explain the appeal of fnaf to me? I have a lot of nostalgia for the series so I went to appreciate it but having played them I honestly do not see any redeeming qualities to the games

not to be gatekeepy but I feel like a majority of people online who are like "omg yaoi!!! omg yuri!!!" have never actually read a single one in their life. it kinda sucks I wish I knew more people who were actually into it.

same with Gone Home, even as a fan of other walking simulators like Edith Finch, Mouthwashing and Night in the Woods that game was just too short and the story was just a bit... underwhelming? it starts, builds up slowly and just... ends. it just ends. it ends before anything interesting happens
am I the only person in existence who doesn't like The Last of Us but like not for far right extremist reasons?
