Sad picture on all fronts. The USA are in no position to lecture anybody when it comes to democracy; at the same time Germany displaying once again a myopic level of ineptitude in managing internal affairs: perhaps nip the problem in the bud? Nah, let's wait it reaches 30% and then repress it.

So AC Shadows pulled a Cyberpunk when it comes to lighting in raster. It's a shame I can't cement myself in some reshading, unfortunately my 3090 died on me yesterday. It would have been really fun making the non-RT presentation look as close as possible to the RT one.

@jbikker.bsky.social dear Jacco, I wanted to ask you this 99.9% dumb question in private, but I guess I'll have to do it in public: to what extent a GPU's 3D V-Cache would be beneficial for a BVH structure, and so Ray Tracing / Path Tracing in general?

Imagine having "30+ years" of experience in the PC Gaming industry, shilling for proprietary closed tech, suggesting that all the players in the industry should follow that formula, and then pulling a Surprised Pikachu when said formula inevitably makes things worse for the end user.
