Mentally revisiting "All The Kings Men". Early post-WWII novel by Robert Penn Warren. Told a fictionalized tale of Huey Long the Louisiana Blowhard who bamboozled his way in and out of power a century ago. Broderick Crawford played him in a very salient movie. I would recommend book & movie.

Where's "Public" in PBS if it depends solely on rich folk? The UNC System's job = Educate the public for the public good. Done partially over public airwaves using PBS. It is true that some folk don't like that. People can be manipulated better when less informed or worse, cleverly lied to.

Does anyone else think it's ludicrous that Muskie uses grok for his A I handle? Tom Wolfe mentions a pile of money by the front door in his bit on Stranger In a Strange Land inside The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. I do not think Muskie has a free pile of money at his house.
