SC: "Hey babe, what's cooking?" K: "We don't have a lot of readers, so I'm brewing a potion to make us more popular!" Singing Cricket dips his glass into the cauldron and takes a swig, to Kayra's protests. SC: "Let's have a taste!" K: "Wait, husband, that's not for you--" With a BOING, from Singing Cricket's chest erupt a pair of enormous breasts. Just some seriously honkin' knockers. He is surprised by this. Kayra pulls out a book and starts leafing through it. "I'll find a recipe to reverse it." Singing Cricket gives his new boobs a squeeze and replies, "Take your time."

If you are surprised that Tamilda might be queer, then you couldn't have invested THAT much into the comic.

A bonus page from the comic Love and Hex. A shirtless slasher (looks like Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th movies) flees Nanny Muk's cottage in a panic. From inside, Nanny says, "All right, dearie, now it's your turn..." The house comes alive. Its front wall turns into a huge mouth full of pointy teeth. Its enormous tongue reaches out and lifts the slasher to eat him. From inside, Nanny continues: "Calvin, darling -- did you see where our guest ran off to?" The house chews on its victim as Nanny continues, "Never mind... I'm sure he'll turn up again." In the background, a tree chases after a raccoon, only to be swarmed by the raccoon's friends in the final panel.

I tossed my child The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy this morning. She spent the whole time before school laughing, but it's interesting to see a young person's take on old science fiction.

She read the description of the Guide in the intro, and said, "So basically, it's a phone?"
