Solo dev, Dad, fascinated by PCG.
Testing some early enemy animation and AI. Loving UE5's Motion Warping. Next up, making them fight each other. #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #UE5

Most of my proc-gen levels are open world and exploratory, but I want to mix in something fast paced and linear for variety. Using boxy connected rooms for the odd dungeon, but I'm also generating a color and fog density to try to keep them fresh. #procgen #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Here's a more in depth explanation of how the grid in my cosy town building game is created.

I certainly don't mind sharing, but the process is a bit involved so not the easiest to convey in short text form!

The process is something like this:
- I start with randomly distributed points
- From that I compute a Delaunay triangulation
- Using that points are iteratively refined

PCG Jungle levels. Keeping performance up by culling and restoring areas as the player moves around. Have to keep everything on a consistent seed so an area stays the same when you re-enter it after culling. #procgen #procedural #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Procedural generation of a swamp level for the game I'm working on. It's staggering how far tooling has come in this space. Anyone else enjoying Unreal's PCG module? #procgen #procedural #solodev #indiedev
