What if we reimagined assessment as a beginning? What if assessment became an integral, dynamic part of the learning process itself, a catalyst for growth rather than just a measure of it?

Measurement without testing. What if a student's clicks in a game could show you how they think?

New research breaks down how to make this a valid reality. Great read for #EducationResearch folks.

Using longitudinal data from our team at the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) to tackle a long-standing question: Does studying philosophy actually make you a better thinker?
Turns out studying philosophy is actually valuable. Philosophy majors don’t just argue well, they actually become better thinkers and do better on tests.

Data from 600k students shows they outscore every other major on reasoning, curiosity and open-mindedness.
Studying philosophy does make people better thinkers, according to new research on more than 600,000 college grads
Philosophers are fond of saying that their field boosts critical thinking. Two of them decided to put that claim to the test.
