Open AI’s valuation is at $400 billion. They used about 190,000 books to train their plagiarism bot. Randomly saying 25% of their value comes from that stolen dataset, I think they owe the authors about $526,000 per stolen book.

All ethical debates aside, the thing about "generating" the parts of the creative process you can't do well yourself is you're denying yourself the joy of working with another creative with a different skillset or even just a different style from you (1/3)

Oof. It is *hard* to avoid the prompt-generated images (you know what I mean) on here, especially browsing steampunk, cyberpunk, etc. We've already muted the obvious tags but still get flooded on those feeds! We just want to stick to human-made art! Please!
