Today’s progress on the Breathe dress from the Ever After film can be classified as slow and steady. Currently one panel completed, another 5 more panels to go.

There is disappointment, and then there is the “I’ve just realized that I’ve been sewing a yard’s worth of straight seam with an empty bobbin” level type of disappointment. #sewing

My current obsession is my recreation of the “Breathe” dress from the Ever After film. So far I’ve embroidered all the scalloped motifs to the skirt panels. Now I’m working on adding the pearl beads into each of the scallops. Wish me luck!

Finished folding 1,000 tiny paper cranes as of this morning, and spent an additional 2 hours sorting them out by their pretty colors. 😊

Throwback to my first major embroidery project: my cosplay of Sansa Stark’s Kings Landing wedding dress. It was also my first time doing goldwork embroidery too. This is the embroidered panel on the back of sash she wore around the bodice.

Currently working on a crocheted cardigan project that involves a fair number of different crochet stitches, which got me curious: what is everyone’s favorite crochet stitch and why? 🧶

A little while ago, I had this idea to crochet Totoro plushies in all colors of the rainbow…with flowers. I also took advantage of the yarn sales at Joann to buy all the squishy chenille yarn in the needed colors too. This is the first one, in shades of pink! 🧶
