I'm not saying this kind of thing doesn't happen in Canada's food supply (it does) but with current regime's lack of interest in anything regarding oversight, safety, or regulation, it's madness to put American products in your mouth. I don't trust the bourbon not to contain methanol at this point.

If you need someone to colour your thing, give Paul a call.
Art by Marika Cresta, color by me. From Con & On, Ahoy Comics, 2023. I've got some spots free in my schedule this winter, so I am very much available for work if anybody needs a hand on their project!

For real, one of the most disheartening things about the whole GenAI disaster has been seeing creative humans turn their backs on each other to save a few bucks. We expect a casual disregard for our human talents from Head Office, but we don't need to feed into this blight ourselves.
the discourse on what jobs are acceptable to replace with generative AI reveals a lot about what we think of other people's jobs

I know one person who regularly cites Grok as if it were a reliable source of information or analysis, and I doubt even this will sway his opinion on Elon's pet bot.

Folks, if anyone starts a sentence with "I asked Grok..." you know you can ignore everything else they say.

For a food which is supposed to be synonymous with "fun," people have way too many arbitrary personal rules about pizza.
This place needs some Innocuous Discourse pronto. Quote this with a take that’s not political or aggressive

Robert Smith could easily have written 'This Charming Man' and probably even 'How Soon is Now?' on a good day, but Morrissey could never have written 'Just Like Heaven.'

Weird to think the citizens were better informed about *vague gesture at everything* when our dissemination model largely relied on neighborhood kids on bikes throwing rolled-up sheafs of paper toward the front door as they pedaled past.

Gen AI #writing conversation hit hard a few hours after I posted this AM thanks to the SFWA, so here again for the afternoon crowd...
I will insist on "No Gen AI" clauses in all future publishing contracts. I will not submit my work to publishers or publications who use Gen AI in their production processes, social media, and/or marketing. I will not work with editors, story coaches, or other writing "consultants" who use Gen AI.

I don't know what this is, but I can appreciate a good 90's X-Men pool party tribute when I see one.

One of the many reasons AI can't produce good writing is it can't hate its own writing. It can't think to itself "Maybe I'm illiterate" during the writing process. And that's essential

Danielle Smith (like Jason Kenney before her) courted Alberta's separatist bloc and holds her position as UCP leader at their whim. The UCP has tacitly legitimized and given a plank to their bleating. Separatism defines this party to many Albertans
