It never ceases to amaze me that even with all that money…Trump and his bunch don’t know how to talk to a lady.

All their dumb and hateful talk about gender and they don’t know the most basic shit…

You can’t be any kind of man until you are first a -gentle-man.

That means respecting women.

Alright, been up all night writing. Crashing out.

We still desperately need your support over here at The Dispatches From Appalachia. We're just 100 dollars shy of the goal. If just 10 people kick in 10 dollars we'll smash it. Help if you can and it'd be mighty appreciated.

What if someone took away your everything? What if someone reduced all your dreams to ashes? What if they got away with their crimes?

Tell me.

What would you give to make them pay?

Greed. Blood. Gold. Death. Hellfire.

The Weird West is about to get Bloody..

The damage to the Appalachian economy by the impending Hemp Ban will put jobs at risk and cripple efforts to build a brighter future for our people.

Give it a read, leave a tip (we're still 100 dollars away from our goal), and keep resisting.

Being a writer teaches you a lot of things…

Most of them about eating cheap.

Do you feel like there's nothing you can do to stop the fascist oligarchs? You ever despair that one person can't change the world?

Sarah Blizzard refused to accept the odds were against her...

...and she won.

(Still badly need tips - just 100 dollars shy of our goal!)

I grew up VERY poor in a small town. White Wolf's books fascinated me, I didn't ever have a hope of actually playing them with anyone because everyone in our town (Pikeville) was very conservative.

I used them to teach myself how to write stories.

Now I'm a novelist and game designer.
"How did you get into TTRPGs?"

I was given the dice that were the legacy of my family; the d20, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. Because I am a geek, like my father before me.
"how did you get into ttrpgs"

oh, a ttrpg appeared to me in a dream and when I woke up there were dice on my pillow

Take the time out of your day to tell people they're awesome, even if you think they probably already know. Worst that happens is you look a little silly, but you just might lift someone up who is down...and that's worth something.

Woke up to find someone had kicked in 20 dollars. That puts us at 55 out of 150! Almost there! Thank you!

10 tips of 10 dollars and we’ll hit the goal!
November 19, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Going to bed. Still only 35/150 towards the goal. Here’s hoping I wake up to some tips.
November 19, 2025 at 9:45 AM
Woot! Three tips down, twelve more to go! You folks rock! We are just 125 dollars away from our goal.

Check out the newest Dispatch and if you enjoy it leave a tip and help us hit our goal.
November 19, 2025 at 2:19 AM
That’s two 10 dollar tips down and only 13 more left to go! Thank you!!!

And here’s your reminder that JD Vance is so unlikeable that the Republican Party would rather protect a pedophile than contemplate letting him have the presidency.
November 19, 2025 at 12:48 AM
Woot! That’s one ten dollar tip down. Only 14 more to go!

And in that note here’s reminder that Mitch McConnell is as corrupt as he is decrepit.
November 19, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Ah nothing like Facebook throwing a picture of you from just five years ago at you to remind you how horrifically you’ve been aged by the last couple of years.

We must decide for ourselves whether we will be a nation that stands up to bullies, or if we shall be a nation that is governed by them.

Now, where I’m from you never back down or run from a bully. If you do, they just get crueler and braver.

No more running.
November 18, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Oh and I will be doing updates on how close we are to the 150 dollar goal, answering questions (about me, my new books, or life in Appalachia), and making fun of the Republican Party for the rest of the night.

Brand spanking new Dispatch From Appalachia!

This time we're dealing with the economic damage that will be done by the Republican hemp ban and seeing just how much money the Tobacco and Alcohol industries have given Mitch McConnell.

This will be illuminating.

While I work on my newest Dispatch to try and earn some tips (still trying to hit our 150 dollar goal) here's one I did about the Buffalo Creek disaster.

For those who don't know - Buffalo Creek was when the negligence of mine owners caused a whole town to be washed away by slurry.

Since the WV water crisis is still in the news, and an awful lot of people who should have been better people cheered for it.

Here's my piece dealing with said crisis, the childhood cancers that the water crisis has caused, and the struggles of the good people of WV.

Tips help.
