Controversial but I'm going to speak my truth: the glam updates coming in FFXIV 7.4 are too woke. We can't have White Mages doing their frilly little Glare spins while wearing edgelord armor. It goes against the natural order.

The scene alone is fun as hell, but then you get the added layers of how it thematically sets up The Wire's greatest season by showing that teaching is not a simple matter of "can or can't learn." It's a matter of perspective and finding ways to relate. This show will forever be one of the best.

Metroid Prime 4 could potentially bring us one of the worst misunderstandings of tone ever seen. I'm almost excited in a brutally absurdist kind of way.

Been around a year now since I joined Bluesky. Will this place last? Idk. I'd really like it to but it's hard to say. Been mainly a place for me to scream into the void and not a great source of personal connection, but I have enjoyed the communities that try to keep it going. Still better than X.

Persona 4 is a damn good game with an intoxicating intimacy that is weighed down by some of Atlus' most egregious misdeeds. I am now beginning to understand the discourse around it.

Something I love about Critical Role C4 is that almost everyone out of the huge ensemble has come to the table having rolled a character who is already badass and ready for a fight, except Sam, who is hanging out by himself in jackass land.

I think, truly, the most confounding thing to me about the meteoric rise of people using AI to speak for them is the simple realization that many people don't have an inner voice they wish to utilize. No thoughts. Just prompt. Everything I post - as shitty as it might be - will be original.

It's so funny how if you kill a major enemy early in The Ivalice Chronicles the game forces out all the battle dialogue before they die. "HOLD ON BEFORE I DIE I MUST MONOLOGUE! HERE'S WHY YOUR IDEALISM IS DUMB!"

Stealing Marquis Elmdore's equipment was a tough but achievable challenge in the OG FF Tactics. In The Ivalice Chronicles it feels next to impossible.

Playing through Persona 4 and the camping trip is maybe the worst traits of Atlas distilled into a couple days worth of events. Homophobia, fat jokes, sexual coercion. It's a real black eye on a game that otherwise offers so much quality. A perfect encapsulation of how frustrating the series can be.

As GOATed Final Fantasy Tactics is, the Marquise Elmdore rooftop fight remains the epitome of dogshit. It feels like they've made it even harder in TIC by smartening the AI of the assassins but not changing Rafa's at all.
