Together with colleagues, we report 2 #diphtheria sub-clusters with autochthonous cases in 🇩🇪 and 🇵🇱 within a Corynebacterium diphtheriae ST-574 outbreak (2022-2025).
Strengthening immunisation, improving wound care, enhancing international surveillance are key to protecting vulnerable populations. ⬇️
📢 New issue is out! This week's focus:

➡️ #Diphtheria sub-clusters in DE & PL with mostly local transmission, severe outcomes & links to homelessness.

➡️ A cross-border #TB outbreak in Vienna tied to a wider multi-country cluster, possibly linked to migratory routes.

& much more!
