American or Indonesian? A lot of people kinda assumed that toy-makes still existed in their own countries.
Here in Ireland we had Crolly dolls back in the 50s to 70s and then Lottie dolls more recently. Now, I think we can all see that China is the source of most dollies.

So,what about "two dolls"? This is a tariff story.
A video appeared online of two kid girls in Michigan asking Donald Trump to bring down the price of Barbies.
The video was shared on X, and one commentator said, "Those girls only need two dolls," - Trump is threatening to impose tariffs on Mattel.

Barbie is a California girl. Mattel is based in El Segundo but the doll is usually made in Indonesia or China. Mattel is adapting to Donald Trump's tariffs by diversifying its manufacturing base away from China.
