Learning and informing about US fiscal policy and the US federal budget.
Concern about the #Treasury payments system? Well, the outside (Congressional) oversight group, #GAO, shows 17 "open" recommendations for US Treasury financial management. None appear to be significant, or fundamental, problems warranting any kind of takeover.

So much to be said about the spending #memo that temporarily stopped important federal spending actions. Perhaps the most significant part: a call for cancelling "awards already awarded that are in conflict with Administration priorities." That's a big deal.

Improving US fiscal strength shouldn’t only be about big, sweeping budget decisions. Sensible choices made during the regular order of gov ops should be the norm. Case in point: those of the last Trump Admin, and Biden Admin, to inject #fiscal sanity into #disaster recovery in Florida and elsewhere.
As Trump mulls his FEMA pick, a political land mine awaits in Florida
The president-elect's eventual nominee to lead the emergency management agency will be caught between Florida's disaster relief and FEMA's funding problems.
