WE HAVE MCR TICKETS
twice now I've heard an owl call I can't ID (in Shenandoah and my backyard). It's a scream (not as awful as a barn owl) followed by hoo-huh-hoo, hoo-huh-hoo, hoo-huh-hoo. Both times were late at night (3-4 AM). In VA, it repeated 4 times but one was probably a second bird. Any ideas?

adding backpacking photos to iNaturalist & one’s a less than great pic of a millipede I left with the family-level ID. Within 20 minutes @DearMillipede, who did his PhD on Appalachian millipedes, gave an exact species ID. I love this app.
