Portia should’ve run her own DNA test before allowing her relationship with Curtis to progress. If she knew the truth definitively, she could’ve navigated all of those relationships accordingly. She set herself, her kid, and her kid’s two dads up for heartache by kicking the can down the road.

I agree but let's remember why. They reconnected right after Taggert's "death" and Trina hated/blamed Curtis for Taggert "dying". How could she tell the truth that she didn't know who Trina's bio daddy was so she lied again. When Taggert was found alive that lie had been going for too long 1/2

Oh, I agree about the initial lie. She did what she needed to for herself & her daughter. I don’t fault her.

The truth is, who 20-something Trina's bio dad was shouldn't have mattered because Curtis would've been her step-dad and Stella and Marshall already loved her like she was family and she felt the same about them so the lie wasn't hurting anyone 2/2
