I've been using Dreaming Spanish a lot recently (I'm up to 18h) & it's actually helped incredibly with my listening comprehension. I bounce between beg & int & I'm starting to be able to follow some native content even after this short time. I've made a new goal to try & get in 1½ hs a day. #langsky

I try to watch the christmas chronicles every year and only make it through 15-20 minutes, so to my mind this js just a movie about a little girl with a massive prick of a big brother and a tree that never gets decorated. Santa isn't even in it. 😂

Why in language textbooks do greetings and introductions always come first? I don't know about you but I'm much more likely to need to ask questions like "Where's the bathroom?" & "how much is it?" Than need to say "Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Jojo, I'm from the UK, & I'm 27 years old!"

So I’ve started language stacking stacking today (using one tl to learn another.) and it’s been really helpful so far, I’ve already found 4 words I didn’t know I didn’t know.

We need more people sharing this stuff. 🩵 Days off are important for everything whether it’s art, language, or manual labour. I even need people break days! 😂
I'm just realising that it's okay to not draw and create every day and that "unproductive" days are completely normal and needed in order to preserve the joy of making art. I always feel bad when I take a day off but it prevents me from burning out myself.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
