Been going through prototypes for quite a long time now for something I find fun. Not found it yet. Maybe I should return to my passion which is FPS. Problem with that is it's so flooded. Maybe I need to find a twist on it 🧐

Ok, looks like the latest idea is a narrative horror restaurant detective cleaning FPS. Already looking weird as hell so quite enjoying it. And also has a design document. Look at me!

Taken a couple of days off latest game and have realised that there is still no game per se there. Foundations of something fun but how does it stand out? I'm not sure. I think I'm tired, maybe I should be making some weird game instead, I don't know 😁

It's lovely, as a Unity dev, to debug a problem with AI on Unreal with C++ and realise it doesn't work because someone forgot the nav mesh. Like the feeling of home 💖 #indiedev

Decided to create a new map, much smaller than the crazy big one I had that just gave me extra headaches managing. Smaller, post apocalypse city. Also faster to load so easier to test!

I've hit that point in a project where I question the choices I've made and the direction taken and wonder if it all needs rethinking. Though as I'm typing this I'm thinking of ideas to change it, so maybe not all hope is lost #indiedev #gamedev

It would be cool if there was a BlueSky plugin for Unity where i could do something in playmode, automatically capture it, and put a caption on. Would probably make me share more often #indiedev

Added some exploding environmental bits to the game that sync over the network. Works first time pretty well which is nice. But I realise my explosions are a bit lame and small. Damnit art! #indiedev

An evening on AI (no not that sort). Ai controlled cars can now get round a course from their checkpoints and utilise raycasts to avoid obstacles. It uses the same car code as a real player which is more difficult to code for as I need to think about what real players do. #indiedev #solodev
