A reminder that anyone asking you out of the blue to "try my game" and sends you a .rar/.zip or an Itch link most likely is a compromised account trying to steal yours.

Do not trust them.

Some accounts from people in this community and in other similar communities have been hijacked by malicious folk and are currently going around asking people to "try out my project" or "try out my game" and asking for feedback or saying it's for a grade for school, etc.. Usually this is an itch.io link and they ask you to play test it. Sometimes this is a .rar or .zip file with a password. :warning: These are UNSAFE :warning: If you download and run the program, it will grab all of your current logged in sessions and hijack your accounts, bypassing passwords and 2-factor auth because they are using your current logged in session to bypass logging in. Even if your friend is a game developer, I would not recommend trusting any requests like this out of the blue. Even if they have a proper Itch page for it, it's usually **stolen from a real game to pretend to be real**. **Also, keep in mind if they have stolen the Discord account, and you attempt to verify it's them on another platform like bsky, it's likely that account is ALSO compromised and it's likely not them. ** If you get a link on Itch.io from them, usually these are games that are under 180 days old (I notice usually under 60, rarely higher). Instead of downloading them, instead, use Google's Reverse Image Search to check if the game images show up elsewhere from the Itch page. You can report these at the bottom and I recommend reporting it to inform Itch this is a token stealer and link them to the original game.

Saw a lot of friends in the Sammi discord banned live for voicing their opinions and applying pressure. I will be continuing to use a legacy version of Sammi without the update, but I will not be updating or recommending Sammi until further notice. If I manage to find time, I'll swap at some point.

Anyone using SAMMI may want to reconsider. The new lead Dev silently changed the policy to allow AI art to be used in official spaces again and when called out upon, told users to stop using SAMMI if they weren't happy about it.

It's still work in the progress but since people seem to have complaints about allowing AI in SAMMI. AI has always been a thing in SAMMIs source code itself. SAMMI is a tool that allows the users to do whatever they want with it. The change the previous DEV Team made about forbidding AI art will be reverted, but there will be the necessity to let people know if you use AI art. I also will revert some other changes like the extension policy. Why am I doing this? It's easy, because every person should be able to decide on their own if they want to use AI or not as well as if they want to support AI. If you can not respect this decission, it's ok. Everyone can have their own oppinion about this and if your oppinion is different, feel free to no longer support or use SAMMI. I don't wanna sound rude now, but if you don't want to support a program that uses AI, then you might be better off not using SAMMI Repo update

Shoutout to Q-Up for being a really neat and interesting take on tactical Roguelites.

The game on the surface is just a 50/50 coin flip game, but the game shines in the character classes making builds that benefit from either winning, losing, or both outcomes.
