This feels like a change that is mainly to further invalidate mail in ballots. If they can’t get states to change their laws, they’ll just change what a postmark date means instead.
"A postmark used to indicate the date when mail was dropped in a mailbox or at a post office. Now, USPS is clarifying in a new rule that the postmark will reflect the date an envelope is first processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, potentially days later."

not too late for a flu shot btw, flu historically often peaks in february and by all accounts it is pretty bad this year
Flu deaths exceeded COVID deaths last winter and we may be on track for the same thing this year!
I can speak anecdotally that at the hospital I work at we’ve had very low covid census. We test anyone experiencing respiratory symptoms, and we’ve had very few people with Covid who have needed to be hospitalized. Which is a relief because we are absolutely inundated with flu rn

Pondering getting back into streaming in the new year. What platform do people prefer (for art): Twitch, Picarto or something else? I had been getting frustrated with Picarto DCing me, and I know people like not having to switch fav platforms.

Just recently came across a YouTube music video where the lyrics were written by ChatGPT, the song was created by Sonauto, and the video itself was just made by some other guy on Fiverr. The YouTuber themselves contributed nothing. Made me sad.

The latest FFXIV 7.4 patch has such a good helping of FFIX nostalgia that was missing from the original Dawntrail release. I'm still holding out hope that there will be a proper FFIX remaster in the future.

Looking for references can be exhausting when trying to find real images these days. Especially as search engines have made it more difficult to find older pre-2020 stuff.

I'm apparently behind on this news, but kinda disappointed to hear that Kevin Macleod has been using AI to create music over the last year. I've used his older stuff as themes in my DnD games, so feels a bit weird when apparently he doesn't really have any passion for creating music.
