Enjoyed Death by Lightning on Netflix. It feels like the political elements were dumbed down to make it more palatable for mainstream audiences but the performances, especially Nick Offerman as Chester A. Arthur, were fun enough that I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in American history.

This is so brutal, both for Michael Penix (who already tore his ACL twice in college) and the Falcons (whose next 1st round pick, likely in the top 10, will go to the Rams). What a nightmare season for Atlanta.
Per source: #falcons QB Michael Penix is believed to have suffered a partial ACL tear and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Good selection. My personal Game of the Year is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II but I expect Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to win the majority of GOTY votes.
The Game Awards GOTY nominees leaked:

-Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
-Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
-Donkey Kong Bananza
-Hades II
-Hollow Knight: Silksong
-Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Really enjoyed A Case of Fraud. It's only $7.64 on Steam right now, if you like detective/mystery games it's a must-play.

That’s my Pope!
Some inspiring words on cinema in the streaming era from the Pope.

Yes, THAT Pope.

Kyle Williams has a ton of potential and crazy speed but he's been out of sync with Drake Maye all night, which has really emphasized Kayshon Boutte's absence and reinforced his importance to the offense. Hopefully he's back from his hamstring injury after the bye.

'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

TreVeyon Henderson is good at football. Very happy the Patriots drafted him. 🙂

Got two episodes into this series before Natasha Lyonne's schtick started to grate on me too much, so I'd be interested in giving it another shot if they can find a home for this retooled version.
‘POKER FACE’ has been cancelled by Peacock after 2 seasons.

However, Rian Johnson is pitching a new version of the series with Peter Dinklage taking over as detective Charlie Cale

So excited this is finally opening. Can't wait to go next September.
After years of delays, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art announced its 2026 opening date. Take a first look inside the $1 billion, 300,000-square-foot museum.

It still kind of annoys me that Tom Ford is as good a filmmaker as he is, in addition to all the other things he's succeeded at in life, but I am so excited that he's finally making another movie a decade after Nocturnal Animals.

Saw not one but two films yesterday (Sound of Falling and Die My Love) that each prompted double digit walkouts in the theater.

Ugh, Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter out for the season after only seven games. Brutal start to the career for someone who should be one of the most fun, explosive, and unique players in the league. Hopefully Liam Coen spends these next few months figuring out a better way to utilize him.

Sad to hear about the death of great Japanese actor Tatsuya Nakadai. My favorite performance of his was in The Human Condition trilogy, but he was also amazing in Harakiri, Ran, and The Face of Another, among so many others.

Made the mistake of getting simultaneously immersed in three long narratives set across the rise and fall of Nazi Germany-- Babylon Berlin (1929-31), The Aesthetics of Resistance Vol. 1 (1937-39) and Seventeen Moments of Spring (1945)-- and the chronological dissonance is starting to melt my brain.

Interesting that Mike Kafka has been named the interim coach. If he does well with Jaxson Dart the rest of the season, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him land the job full-time since he's been a hot head coaching candidate for a few years now.
The Giants are firing coach Brian Daboll, sources say. A promising and frustrating season leads NYG to have an opening.

After another lead evaporated yesterday, Brian Daboll is out.

OC Mike Kafka is interim coach, per me and Mike Garafolo.

As of this morning, it is imperative that the Democratic caucus in the senate remove Schumer as Minority Leader, Durbin as minority whip and Cortez Masto as Vice Chair of Outreach.

Replace them today with Van Hollen, Murphy and Merkley. Or anyone else who actually knows how to lead and discipline.

Love to see two HUGE touchdowns from rookies Kyle Williams and TreVeyon Henderson today. They both add a much-needed injection of speed in the Patriots offense, gotta keep playing them as much as possible.

Patriots tried to sign Chris Godwin to a $30M/year contract this offseason, but he turned them down and re-signed with the Bucs for $22M/year, which forced the Pats to pivot and sign Stefon Diggs instead. Ended up being a huge blessing in disguise, as Godwin's barely played and Diggs has balled out.

Smiling Friends is so damn good. Not just one of the funniest shows on TV, but last week's Halloween episode was legitimately more frightening than any horror film I've seen this decade.
