A Syrian family in my neighborhood is preparing to return to Syria. I'm so happy that they get to return to their home country after all these years but damn I'm going to miss them. Some of the kindest people I've ever met.

Just picked back up a writing project I had abandoned around 10 years ago and I feel like I have to rewrite everything before I can write something new.
