As terrible as this case is (and the details are MIND BOGGLING), if got some serious questions about how someone so brazen did this for so long, where the others that obviously knew are now, and what they plan to do moving forward about this.

Yep. True.

And the state of the city shows it.

Also doesn't help that we spend what we do collect on stupid shit and the council can't make a convicted decision without running some expensive "study".
Think Winnipeg’s property taxes are high compared to other cities?

Here’s a surprise — they’re actually the lowest among major Canadian cities for a typical home.

I’ll be sharing more info about how Winnipeg stacks up ahead of the November 14 city budget.

Perfect representation of fight, flight and freeze.

Oz - Fight (hate the guy, but he took action)
RFK - Flight (guess that's probably from family history)
Trump - Freeze (might have shit himself)
holy shit -- one of Trump's toadies just passed out and the White House event is brought to an abrupt end

My faith in the city capturing "feedback" was forever killed when we needed to know if we should open Portage and Main and were told no, only to do it later anyways, and have zero issue.

Imagine banks of panels like this on a platform above Winnipeg's surface lots. You'd have every car shaded, surface temperatures reduced and free energy.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity
Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

1) I hope the mayor has heard about wind.

2) That box is WAY too clean to have not been a plant.
One of the things that really bothers me downtown is seeing garbage bins sitting wide open and trash on the sidewalks.

We’re fixing that.

New lockable bins are being installed along Main St & Portage Ave to help keep downtown cleaner. If they work as well as we expect, we’ll look to add more.

Viewing hydro outage maps is like staring at the clouds.
STE ANNE AREA - we’re looking into an outage affecting close to 950 customers in Ste Anne and area. Crews are working to restore power as fast and safe as possible. #MBoutage

“Surge pricing — the practice of charging more during periods of high demand — could help manage the city’s limited parking space in high-traffic areas, Lukes said.

Baseline parking prices wouldn’t necessarily change.”

If you want us to believe this isn’t a cash grab, then baseline should change.

I'll be honest, I'm impressed at the attention to detail.
Taking the time to label each body, professionally make signs, spelling karma across the bodies, declaring sovereign land.

Don't get me wrong, the guy is clearly and asshole and lunatic, I'm just impressed at the detail for said person.

I do not live in this community, but I am envious of their selection of candidates (other than one obvious stinker of a candidate).

For those who are eligible to vote tomorrow, please make sure you do. If I could, mine would go towards Emma Durand-Wood.

Couple things on this:

1) Ford loves attention as much as Trump. They're both egomaniacs. This is just a pissing contest.

2) The timing of this (before markets open on Friday) is completely by design. They mess with the markets before the weekend, reap benefits on Monday. Always.
