🧬Does DNA methylation inheritance differ in clonal and sexual offspring? In wild strawberry, we found higher methylation inheritance in clonal offspring linked to stronger transgenerational plasticity under climate stress.

Over the last couple of months I have been conducting an experiment testing for differences of intra-individual variation along a domestication gradient in barley, spinach and pea 🫛I'm very excited to soon have all the data collected 📊

It was so great to finally meet you in person, Pablo! Thank you for joining our session 🌿
Last week I talked about trait variation at the @sibecol-aeet-25.bsky.social . I enjoyed presenting in a room full of friends and researchers I admire. Thanks to @cmoeller.bsky.social and Martí March-Salas for putting intraspecific and intraindividual variation into the spotlight of this conference

This week I'm lucky enough to be in Pontevedra, Spain for an amazing conference and getting the chance to meet so many great researchers 🥳🌿
And we’re off!
The III SIBECOL & XVII AEET Meeting has officially begun! A day full of workshops, reunions, first connections, and an energizing welcome cocktail.
This is just the beginning of a truly special week 🌿

Great national @nordicoikos.bsky.social in Denmark this week 🌿 I had the opportunity to show some preliminary results from a resurrection experiment studying intra-individual variation between ancestors and descendants 🌼

I am very excited to finally share the news that I received a reintegration fellowship from @carlsbergfondet.dk. From next month on, I will be researching intra-individual variation in crops and crop wild relatives and hosted by @srosbakh.bsky.social at the University of Copenhagen 🌿

📢 New publication!!
Recently, I finally got to publish the last chapter from my PhD 🌿
We used a reciprocal transplant along a gradient of forest management intensity to study local adaptation and phenotypic plasticity - read more below:

Local adaptation and phenotypic plasticity in two forest understorey herbs in response to forest management intensity
This study explores how forest management, and the underlying environmental variables impacts local adaptation and phenotypic plasticity in two understorey

Some pictures from our resurrection experiment using Hypericum perforatum - the big measuring campaign is finally coming to an end and I'm excited to analyse the data and hopefully find some interesting patterns of intra-individiual variation in ancestors vs descendants 🌼 #evolutionaryecology
