Sad the U.S. Right, especially the current Trump admin, only seem to care about gun violence if committed against a political ally- not when children, poor, People of Color, or politically opposed are similarly affected. And watching them weaponize their own guy’s corpse is the sickest turn yet.

Never once has the Trump White House tried to bring people together. On any topic. Ever. He has never called for unity or extended an olive branch. He ONLY ever calls for punishment of his critics. That is NOT what a POTUS is supposed to do and it is the primary reason that he ALWAYS fails as one.

The Cracker Barrel in my town was the ONLY restaurant that would host a meal for a KKK chapter that rallied there in the late ‘90s. Yeah, they’re allowed to protest in the public square, but no business needs to serve them. And only one did.

That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. If I were an R rep, I’d make damned sure my name was on that petition.

This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.
